Magic Masala
Agency:
Vocabulary
PepsiCo Foods Canada is looking for a consistent way to communicate
the new mega flavour “Magic Masala” across Core brands Lay’s, Cheetos, Doritos & Minis, similarly to how “Flamin’ Hot” exists across the Frito-Lay brand portfolio. This will create ownability for PFC and communicate a consistent flavor profile, regardless of the base chip.
And as a motion designer on the team, I need to figure out how to bring this magical design to life
that can make viewers feel like diving into a different world.

Early Development
During the initial development phase, we aimed to leverage the pattern we had created using traditional Indian door designs, commonly referred to as Haveli doors or Jharokha doors, to create an inviting and immersive experience that would transport visitors into the enchanting world of Magic Masala. However, after careful consideration and feedback, we decided to pivot our approach towards a more cinematic perspective.
Technical Development
By using multiple plugins and effects, I was able to create a night sky scene.
