Identity Theft ―

Personal
Project
According to Javelin Strategy & Research, incidences of identity theft increased by 16% from 2015 to 2016, reaching a record high since 2003.  Last year alone, identity thieves stole over $16 billion from 15.4 million U.S. consumers, and in the past six years, the amount stolen totals over $107 billion.

Through this infographic, I tried to alert people how big of an impact identity theft can have, and that it could happen to anyone completely unbeknownst to them.   The primary visual approach I employed was to show metaphoric images to aid comprehension.  You can read the U.S. Department of Justice’s full informational site about identity theft here.
